Prince of Peace/Principe de Paz First Communion Workshop - Spring 2026
Our first Spring First Communion Workshop is scheduled for Saturday, March 8th from 9:30am- Noon. Parents will receive more information about where to meet that morning in a future email after registration. If this workshop date OR the date of the actual First Communion do not work for you, a second opportunity will be offered later in the Spring.
During the workshop, students who are at least 3rd Grade or older will participate in sessions led by Prince of Peace/Principe de Paz staff. The sessions will help students understand what Communion is and how it began. They will learn how to properly prepare for it and receive it. They will also create a craft to help them remember what they have learned.
Students should pre-register for this event so we can properly plan for supplies and have an adequate number of volunteer helpers present. Parents also need to indicate which service they would like to have their child receive their 1st Communion. The choices are below.
Students still in Elementary school should be acompanied by a parent/adult. Middle School students or older may attend without a parent, but parents for these students are welcome to attend if they wish.
IF your child cannot attend the workshop or one of the designated services, please contact DCE Eric Gerken at 402-620-5877 ( call or text) or send an email to eric.gerken@poporlando.com to explore alternatives to have your child participate in First Communion instruction in the future.
